Instantly vs Lemlist
A deliverability-first comparison of two bundled outreach platforms that include warm-up tooling in paid plans. We frame who each is for, model differences, and total cost of ownership (TCO) using merchant public pricing — without promising placement outcomes.
Who each is for
- Instantly (outreach class): Teams that want high-volume cold email with unlimited email accounts and unlimited email warmup on Outreach plans (vendor-stated on the public pricing page). Volume is gated by monthly emails and uploaded contacts — not by mailbox count. Lead data / Instantly Credits and Bundles are separate purchase paths on the same pricing URL.
- Lemlist (outbound class): Teams that want an all-in-one outbound stack. The Email plan is framed around monthly email volume with unlimited users & senders and includes Deliverability Hub & warm-up (lemwarm). Multichannel adds LinkedIn / SMS / dialer (WhatsApp add-on) and is priced per user on the public page.
- Neither is a diagnostics-only SKU: If you only need spam-score / seed tests, prefer the diagnostics ladder (Mail-Tester vs GlockApps). If you only need standalone warm-up economics, see Warmbox vs Folderly and when bundled warm-up is enough.
Model differences
| Dimension | Instantly | Lemlist |
|---|---|---|
| Primary product | Cold email outreach (optional Credits / Bundles / VIP) | Outbound platform (Email or Multichannel; Enterprise custom) |
| Warm-up / deliverability | Unlimited email warmup included on Outreach plans (vendor-stated). Advanced warmup listed on feature compare for higher Outreach tiers. | Deliverability Hub & warm-up (lemwarm) included in all plans per vendor FAQ / pricing. Also lists rotating IPs, DNS setup test, deliverability testing, inbox rotation on plan compare. |
| Account / seat model | Unlimited email accounts on Outreach Growth+; plan price is workspace volume (emails + uploaded contacts), not per mailbox | Email: unlimited users & senders (volume-capped emails). Multichannel: per-user pricing + sender allowances on public cards (e.g. 5 senders/user) |
| Channels | Email-first outreach; CRM / credits sold as separate modules or Bundles | Email plan = email; Multichannel adds LinkedIn, SMS, dialer, WhatsApp add-on |
| Lead data | Instantly Credits / Lead Finder sold separately or via Bundles (Growth Credits from ~$47/mo on public page) | 650M+ lead database on plans; enrichment via credits ($10 / 1k credits; verified email 5 credits; phone 20 credits) |
| Infrastructure note (vendor) | Lightspeed lists SISR (server & IP sharding/rotation) on pricing page — vendor marketing for dedicated/private IP blocks; not an inbox guarantee | Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, dedicated AM, custom terms — process/control features, not placement promises |
Deliverability & warm-up angle
Both vendors market built-in warm-up and deliverability helpers as part of paid outreach. That is a job-to-be-done difference versus standalone warm-up products (Warmbox, TrulyInbox) or diagnostics suites (GlockApps): here warm-up is an included capability of a sending platform, not a separate inbox-tier or daily-volume SKU.
- Warm-up and deliverability hubs may support healthier sending patterns when used with SPF/DKIM/DMARC, gradual volume, and clean lists.
- They are not a substitute for authentication, list hygiene, content quality, or compliance. Placement is not guaranteed.
- Vendor phrases like “stay out of spam,” “protect deliverability,” or “higher inbox placement” in marketing copy are not adopted as editorial claims on this site. Soft language only.
- If your sequencer already includes warm-up and volume is modest, you may not need a second warm-up product — see when bundled warm-up is enough.
Pricing (merchant public pages · verified Sep 2026)
Figures below are from merchant pricing URLs fetched for this pass (instantly.ai/pricing, lemlist.com/pricing). Taxes may apply. Bundle/credit add-ons can raise TCO beyond the outreach-only row. Soft guidance only — not personalized quotes.
| Plan / entry | Instantly | Lemlist |

TCO scenario framing (editorial)
Use these as decision scaffolds, not quotes. Map your real seat count, monthly send volume, and whether you buy lead credits.
| Scenario | Instantly-class TCO lens | Lemlist-class TCO lens |
|---|---|---|
| Solo / small team, email-only, ≤5k sends/mo | Outreach Growth list price (~$47/$37.60) often covers unlimited accounts + warmup at entry volume. Credits optional. | Email plan (~$69/$55) includes warm-up + higher email cap (50k/mo) with unlimited users/senders — compare if team size >1 matters more than Instantly’s account-unlimited story. |
| Growing team, email-only, ~100k sends/mo | Hypergrowth list price (~$97/$77.60) — still not per-mailbox. Watch contact upload caps. | Email plan may still fit if you stay inside 50k emails/mo; above that, Multichannel (unlimited emails) or Enterprise — Multichannel multiplies by seats. |
| Multichannel outbound (LinkedIn / dialer) | Not the primary public SKU framing on Outreach cards — expect email-first + separate tools, or confirm current Instantly modules. | Multichannel is the explicit fit: per-user list price × seats + credit top-ups for enrichment. |
| Many mailboxes, warm-up only (no sequencer buy) | Bundled platforms may be overkill. Compare standalone warm-up TCO on pricing comparison and bundled-enough criteria. | |
Quick decision framing
- Favor Instantly-class framing when mailbox count is high and you want warmup bundled into a volume-based outreach plan without per-mailbox warm-up SKUs.
- Favor Lemlist-class framing when multichannel outbound (LinkedIn / dialer / etc.) plus included deliverability hub matters more than pure email-account scaling math.
- Neither choice guarantees primary-tab placement. Compare TCO against standalone warm-up on the pricing comparison and the living matrix hub.
FAQ
Does Instantly or Lemlist guarantee inbox placement?
No. Soft guidance only. Placement varies by provider, list quality, content, authentication, and domain age. See methodology.
Is bundled warm-up the same as standalone warm-up?
No. Bundled warm-up is a capability of a sending platform. Standalone tools sell warm-up as the primary product (inbox-tier or daily volume). Start with when bundled warm-up is enough.
